Description

This Bizen sake flask is the work of Kazuki Nakamura, who follows in the tradition of the masters of sake ware, Rokuro Nakamura and Makoto Nakamura, to create pieces of profound character. It is a wonderful flask with a gentle, perfectly round form that is smooth from every angle. The soft, orange-hued clay body is a perfect match for the design. As you continue to use it, the surface, which currently has a slight texture when unused, will become smoother, and the orange tone of the clay will also evolve. (There is a slight wobble, but it becomes stable once filled with sake.) Signed wooden box (lid with two cross-braces)
Rim 3.8cm × Body 9.7cm × 9.7cm × Height 12.1cm, Capacity approx. 410cc Kazuki Nakamura was born in 1980 as the eldest son of Makoto Nakamura. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Okayama University in 2003, he studied under his grandfather and father to hone his pottery skills. He fired his first kiln and became an independent artist in 2006.
