Description
This is a Bizen sake cup by Hisanaga Koide, who has made his long-awaited debut after completing a long apprenticeship under the master Juroku Harada. It features the strongly bluish "kase-goma" (matte ash glaze) that is synonymous with Juroku Harada's work. The quality of the clay is superb, and the beautiful gradation of orange and shiso-red hues serves as a testament to the skill of the kiln firing and the excellence of the clay. The orange clay inside the cup glitters brilliantly, providing a delightful change in appearance when sake is poured and finished.
