Description
This is the latest Bizen kiln-transmutation sake cup by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist who was an apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. It is a tour de force featuring a striking contrast between jet-black ash-covered surfaces and vibrant orange highlights. The dull, gleaming black body reflects the intensity of the firing, and it will develop an even richer luster as you stroke it while drinking, captivating its owner. Despite the intense firing, the texture of the surface is extremely pleasant, and the piece has been meticulously polished with great care to make it very comfortable to use.
