Description
This is the latest Bizen shochu cup by Yoshiteru Koriki, a popular young artist who was an apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. By slowly firing high-quality Bizen clay, this piece has achieved a magnificent texture with a dull, shimmering purple luster. The exterior features a yellowish sesame glaze with a slight sheen, while the interior shows a dry, brown sesame texture. Characterized by the slow, rhythmic style that is Mr. Koriki's hallmark, this piece is designed for everyday use without ever becoming tiresome.
