Description

This is a new black cup by Masao Akiya, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality within a modern spirit. Its lustrous black surface is both stylish and sophisticated. During the previous kiln opening, the black slip surface was well-received for how it accentuates the color of café au lait and milk in coffee. The surface has been finely scraped with a spatula to create a textured variation, a subtle yet charming touch characteristic of Mr. Akiya's work. Paper box
