Description
This is a Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who continues the legacy of masters Rokuro and Shin Nakamura in creating deeply expressive works. This piece combines the traditional flat sake cup shape with Kazuki’s signature wide-open rim. It is a lively piece featuring a distinct contrast between scarlet and gray on the front, with kiln-altered markings scattered throughout, making it a delight to view from every angle. Its wide-open design is also perfect for those with larger hands.
Includes signed wooden box (with double-slatted lid).
Diameter 8.7cm x 8.6cm x Height 3.0cm Kazuki Nakamura was born in 1980 as the eldest son of Shin Nakamura. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Okayama University in 2003, he studied under his grandfather and father to refine his ceramic techniques. He fired his first kiln and became an independent artist in 2006.
