Description

This is a Bizen katakuchi (spouted bowl) by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. Even in a pottery world increasingly dominated by mechanization, he insists on traditional production methods, resulting in a rustic charm that is perfectly suited for tableware. The form is elegant and understated, centered on a subtle, unpretentious spouted design. The clay body, with its faint reddish-purple hue, harmonizes naturally with any setting, making it ideal for daily use. Paper box
