Description

This Ibe mug is the work of Takao Kibata, who made his long-awaited debut after nine years of training as an apprentice under Jun Isezaki. Designed to be stackable, the form adds an interesting accent to what would otherwise be a simple mug. The rim and handle are thinly crafted, achieving both ease of use and a sharp silhouette. The "goma" (ash glaze) effect layered over the Ibe black creates a beautiful contrast of light and dark.
