Description

This Ibe mug is the long-awaited debut work of Takao Kibata, who dedicated nine years to training as a disciple of Jun Isezaki. The form, designed for easy stacking, adds an interesting accent to what is otherwise a simple mug. The rim and handle are thinly crafted, achieving both ease of use and a sharp silhouette. Intense reduction firing has produced magnificent kiln-transmutation effects in silver and purple.
