Description
This Bizen single-flower vase is by Takao Kibata, who made his long-awaited debut after nine years of diligent training as a pupil of Jun Isezaki. The piece features a warm black hue characteristic of the Isezaki school. Furthermore, the fine vertical comb patterns, combined with the coloring, give it a unique appearance reminiscent of an almond. With its warm, earthen aesthetic, the work is refined, versatile, and easy to use.
