Description
This is a Bizen tea cup by Takao Kibata, who made his long-awaited debut after nine years of training as a disciple of Jun Isezaki. The piece brilliantly draws out the properties of the clay, featuring a beautiful, shimmering metallic glaze that complements the matte purple areas. The combination of exceptional clay quality and simple form gives the tea cup a stylish, avant-garde ceramic aesthetic. Despite its modern style, it retains the characteristic harmony of Bizen ware, making it a delight to use as an everyday tea cup.
