Description

This Bizen small plate is by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. He is committed to traditional clay preparation methods, using clay that has been refined by hand and aged in an earthen storehouse for many years. The refined, light-brown quality of the clay conveys a vivid vitality amidst its weathered aesthetic. While the elegant style is versatile enough for any cuisine or confection, it is particularly well-suited for displaying vibrant items like fruit or Japanese sweets, which will be significantly enhanced by the plate's colors.
