Description

This beer mug is the work of Shusaku Taku, an artist who shapes his pieces by fermenting the various inspirations of daily life, drawing on the maturity of Bizen ware—a craft that has evolved in close harmony with the lives of people throughout the ages. The clay components were not blended into a uniform mixture, but were instead fired while retaining a marble-like pattern. The rim features a brilliantly colored scarlet "hidasuki" flame mark, serving as a perfect transition between the "goma" (ash glaze) and the earthy texture of the marble pattern. The rim is exceptionally thin, promising a crisp pour and making this piece perfect for the upcoming season.
