Description

This sake flask is the work of Shusaku Taku, an artist who shapes his pieces by fermenting the various inspirations of daily life, drawing on the Bizen ware tradition that has matured alongside the continuous activities of the people. Its refined, wheel-thrown form offers a different appeal from hand-coiled pieces, and it is finished to be lightweight and easy to use. The body is gently molded into a triangular shape, allowing you to enjoy the unique character of each facet. Generous amounts of ash glaze have melted to create a stunning, crinkled *kase-goma* (stony ash) texture, which, combined with the deep scarlet-red color of the clay, creates a landscape typical of wood-fired kiln firing.
