Description
This Bizen yunomi (teacup) is the work of Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, a leading figure in the Kaneshige lineage. Each piece possesses a unique rhythm in its form and silhouette, clearly reflecting his commitment to a dialogue with the clay on the potter's wheel. There is no trace of youthful impulsivity; rather, his traditional style conveys a sense of reliability, making the pieces easy to use and appealing to everyone. With its smooth clay texture and well-applied sesame (goma) glaze, this work is an ideal gift.
