Description
Work No.6
This is a Bizen tea cup by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of the leading master of the Kaneshige school, Kosuke Kaneshige. Each piece possesses a unique rhythm in its form and silhouette, clearly reflecting his stance of valuing the dialogue with clay on the potter's wheel. There is no trace of unrestrained youthful impulsivity; instead, the traditional style exudes a sense of reliability, making it easy to use and suitable for anyone. Its smooth clay surface and well-developed sesame-seed ash glaze (goma) make it a perfect gift.
