Bizen small plate

This Bizen small plate is by Kenji Nakamoto, who has been working with pottery in Imbe since his university days and studied under Shin Isezaki. It is a size that can be used as a slightly larger mamezara (bean plate), perfect for sweets, pickles, or anything else. The charming design with raised edges looks stylish not only when in use, but even when stacked for storage, which speaks to Nakamoto's high level of design sensibility. The crisp, bright yellow sesame glaze features clear white patches, providing a striking contrast that keeps the piece from ever feeling dull. Paper box
