Description

This large bowl is the work of Shusaku Taku, an artist who shapes his pieces by fermenting his daily inspirations like yeast, creating Bizen ware that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people throughout history. The piece features a marbled gray clay base, with the bowl's scenery showcasing a gradation of amber and scarlet hues characteristic of an anagama kiln. It boasts magnificent "kase-goma" (dry ash glaze), with the fine-grained, bluish-tinted ash perfectly complementing the scarlet clay. When used and moistened, the "hidasuki" (fire-cord) markings on the inside reveal their vibrant colors.
