Description
This beer mug is the work of Shusaku Taku, who captures the various emotions of daily life and breathes them into his Bizen ware—a craft that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people throughout history. The clay was not homogenized; instead, it was fired while retaining a deliberate marble-like pattern. To highlight this marbling, the piece was fired using the *hidasuki* (fire-cord) technique while avoiding *goma* (ash glaze); the thick, rich, and even *hidasuki* patterns complement the earthy marble texture and solid form perfectly. The rim is exceptionally thin, promising a clean pour and making it a great choice for the coming seasons.
