Description
This is a kyusu (Japanese teapot) by Shusaku Taku, an artist who shapes Bizen ware—a craft that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people—by using his daily inspirations as a catalyst. This bancha kyusu is the perfect size for everyday use. Perhaps as a reflection of his sincere dedication to pottery, the craftsmanship is meticulous, evident even in the fine details such as the body and the mouth. He uses carefully selected clay, and the exquisite *hidasuki* (fire-cord) markings—where fine lines are hidden within bolder ones—are truly magnificent. Using this for your tea time will surely turn a moment of relaxation into an even more wonderful experience.
