Description

This sake cup, with its gentle scarlet clay body, was created by Iwao Kaneshige, who diligently pursues his craft in the kiln used for generations by the illustrious Kaneshige family, including the great Toyo Kaneshige and Michiaki Kaneshige. Crafted using the high-quality clay handed down through the Kaneshige family—prepared with great time and care—this piece possesses a rustic yet profound quality that draws the viewer in the more they look at it, along with a pleasing texture. It is a sake cup that bears a magnificent scarlet hue, as if responding to the love Master Iwao has poured into the clay. Signed wooden box (double-slat lid)
