Description
This is a new black katakuchi (sake pouring vessel) by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Imbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds joy in crafting pieces and firing kilns. It features a unique, sauce-pot-like silhouette carved with striking, mesmerizing fluting. The clean, rhythmic knife marks create a black surface texture that perfectly matches the delicate carving, catching the light in a beautiful display. This black katakuchi is a new addition from this kiln firing and is sure to be a staple for serving sake in the coming season.
