Description
This Oribe sake cup is by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an excellent aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing, and craftsmanship. This cup features a beautiful Oribe glaze, showcasing Morimoto-sensei’s uncompromising approach to creating authentic works, even when working with glazed pieces. Its unique design, featuring carved Roman letters, incorporates dots along vertical grooves that resemble stitching on clothing. The deep green glaze, evocative of a thick, straight bamboo stalk, shifts to a jade-like hue in parts of the interior, creating a truly spectacular sight.
