Description

This is a Bizen ware tripod mukozuke (small dish) by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. Even in an increasingly mechanized pottery world, his commitment to traditional clay preparation results in a rustic charm that is perfectly suited for tableware. As if to cherish the deep character of the clay, a fine scattering of "goma" (ash glaze) gently strokes the surface, creating a subtle yet profound aesthetic. The tripod's "rolled feet," a signature stylish touch from Jumpei-sensei that elevates a standard design, are truly charming. Paper box
