Description

This is a new Bizen black guinomi (sake cup) fired in the new kiln of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. Due to the firing in the new kiln and seasonal factors, the sesame glaze has taken on a matte ash-gray hue, while the black surface has become a metallic black with a faint bluish, golden sheen. The unique, glittering surface possesses a mysterious luster, much like a raw gemstone. Next to the intense flowing sesame glaze is the character "hidari-uma" (left-facing horse), which is carved only during the first firing of a new kiln, enhancing the piece's collectibility.
