Description

This is a new Bizen "Left-Facing Horse" (Hidari-uma) rice bowl, fired in the new kiln of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. It is an auspicious rice bowl engraved with a "left-facing horse" (a mirror image of the character for "horse"), created to commemorate the kiln's first firing. Due to the humidity and reduction effects characteristic of this kiln firing, the *hidasuki* (fire-cord) markings are adorned with a golden sheen. The *hidasuki*, which glows as it absorbs moisture, is sure to make every meal a delight. Paper box
