Description

This new Bizen-ware "left-facing horse" (hidari-uma) rice bowl was fired in the new kiln of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing the kiln. Created to commemorate the first firing of the kiln, this auspicious rice bowl is engraved with a "left-facing horse" (hidari-uma) in mirror writing. Due to the humidity and reduction firing characteristic of this kiln, a golden hue is cast over the *hidasuki* (fire-cord) markings. The *hidasuki* glistens when it absorbs moisture, making every meal a delight. Paper box
