Description

This is a new Bizen "hidari-uma" (left-facing horse) rice bowl, fired in the new kiln of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe, has loved Bizen ware since childhood, and finds his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. This auspicious rice bowl is engraved with a "left-facing horse" (a mirror image of the character for "horse"), created to commemorate the inaugural firing of the kiln. Due to the humidity and reduction characteristic of this kiln, the *hidari-tasuki* (fire-cord) patterns and other areas are accented with gold. The way the *hidari-tasuki* catches the moisture and shines will make every meal a delight. Paper box

He became independent in 2007 and held his first solo exhibition. He is currently active, primarily holding solo exhibitions at department stores.
