Description
This is a new Bizen black teacup fired in the new kiln of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe, has loved Bizen ware since childhood, and finds his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. Due to the firing in the new kiln and seasonal factors, the "goma" (ash glaze) has taken on an ash-gray matte hue, while the black surface has become a metallic black with a subtle bluish tint and hints of gold. The uniquely brilliant, glistening surface possesses a mysterious luster, much like an uncut gemstone. Although it is a teacup, it features a highly intricate design with carefully crafted facets, and the complex interplay of these facets complements the shimmering black surface perfectly.
