Description
This is a new Bizen beer tumbler by Tamon Kaneshige, who continues to hone his skills on the demanding path of ceramics while following in the footsteps of his father, the late Susumu Kaneshige. By firing his pieces in a separate kiln from his father, Tamon has cultivated his own unique expression of the clay. He has expertly fired this clay, which has a slightly sandy texture, to achieve a magnificent "tsuchiaji" (clay character), and you will be instantly captivated by the rich, lustrous reddish-purple tone of the surface. When in use, the smooth texture becomes even more moisture-rich and alluring as it comes into contact with beer.
