Description

This new Ibe sake cup is by Megumi Sueda, a female ceramic artist who studied under Anjin Abe and captivates fans with her unique works. The piece features a distinct texture reminiscent of boiled-down purple dye turned black, embellished with a vibrant display of yellow flowers. Furthermore, inspired by the colorful Bizen ware of her mentor, Anjin Abe, she has carved an elegant floral motif on the front. The meticulous craftsmanship of the double-carved tortoise-shell foot and the high quality of the texture reflect the graceful and sophisticated style characteristic of Sueda-sensei.
