Description

This is a newly fired Bizen sake cup by Kosuke Kaneshige, leader of the Kaneshige school and son of the legendary Living National Treasure and restorer of Bizen ware, Toyo Kaneshige. It is a new addition to his recent "large sake cup" series, sized somewhere between a tea cup and a standard sake cup. Beyond its use as a sake or tea cup, it is also well-suited for shochu or wine, allowing you to enjoy it however you please. The combination of the rich, thick yellow sesame glaze (kigoma) characteristic of the Kaneshige school and the bright brownish clay body is beautiful and evocative of autumn. Original signed wooden box (shiho-zan) included
