Description
This is a new Bizen sake flask by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who is constantly evolving in his approach to clay, firing, and craftsmanship. This flask is part of a newly released series of earthenware pieces by Mr. Morimoto, created and fired with an emphasis on a raw, natural texture that differs from his traditional old Bizen-style series. Based on a refined, subdued texture reminiscent of withered wood, it features unique and profound flashes of scarlet. While it is an earthenware series with a raw texture, the fine potter's wheel marks and matte finish create a weathered aesthetic that exudes a sense of maturity.
