Description
This is a new Bizen black tea cup by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding joy in life through creating works and firing kilns. As Takashi Baba himself said, "It was a highly successful firing," this is a luxurious tea cup generously coated with rich yellow sesame (kigoma) glaze. The yellow sesame also flows abundantly into the interior, creating a stunning contrast of jet black and gold alongside the deeply lustrous black color achieved through excellent firing. The attractive scenery of the interior and the rounded, large form also make this suitable for use as a shochu cup.
