Description

This is a new Bizen black teacup by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Imbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds his life's joy in creating pieces and firing kilns. True to Baba's own words, "It was a highly successful firing," this luxurious teacup is generously coated in rich yellow sesame glaze. The yellow glaze also flows abundantly into the interior, creating a stunning contrast between the deep, glossy black—the result of a perfect firing—and the golden hues. Its beautiful interior scenery and rounded, generous form also make it suitable for use as a shochu cup. Paper box
