Description
This is a Bizen Hidasuki small bowl by Shusaku Taku, who shapes his work by using the emotions of daily life as yeast, embodying the Bizen ware that has matured alongside the continuous activities of people throughout history. Based on a translucent, clear white, the piece has a somewhat dry texture, resulting in a Hidasuki finish with a very clean feel. True to Taku-sensei’s style of conjuring various Hidasuki patterns as if by magic through the blending of diverse clays, the remarkably vivid and energetic Hidasuki stands out against a white background as pleasant as a freshly laundered shirt. Its convenient size makes it comfortable to hold, and it works wonderfully as a café au lait bowl or even as a small serving dish.
