Description
This is a Hidasuki (fire-cord) tea cup from Yoshinobu Morimoto's new exhibition. Drawing on the sensibilities he has refined through his ongoing input and output of classical Bizen ware, he has created a form that conveys a sense of dynamic, unrestrained spirit. The intense Hidasuki scenery, achieved through the use of a special clay, appears to float off the surface as if it were fluorescent. You can nurture this elegant, fragrant Hidasuki while enjoying a leisurely cup of tea.
