Description

This is a *hidaski* (fire-cord) small tea bowl from Yoshinobu Morimoto’s new exhibition. It showcases a dynamic form that reflects a free and spirited sensibility, honed through his ongoing exploration of the input and output of ancient Bizen ware. After hand-forming the piece, he applied facets, creating a deeply tasteful texture that makes the somewhat coarse clay appear to rise up. The intense *hidaski* pattern, created with a specially formulated clay, emerges from the surface as if it were neon-colored. Designed as a versatile small bowl, it can be used for anything from café au lait and matcha to a serving bowl. Signed wooden box (shihozan) included
Diameter 11.3cm x 11.0cm x Height 8.5cm
