Description
This is a new Bizen sake bottle, freshly taken from the kiln by Junpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of the leading master of the Kaneshige lineage, Kosuke Kaneshige. It is an excellent piece, featuring a well-fired kiln-change effect (yohen) with bright scarlet highlights that suggest it will develop a beautiful patina with use. The raw, porous clay texture is highly absorbent, allowing you to enjoy watching the surface evolve as you dampen it and use it over time. The wide mouth, elongated neck, and light yet stable body create a perfect harmony of practicality and dynamic form.
