Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup by Junpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. The piece emphasizes the intensity of the firing, with the scorched sesame glaze turned as transparent as amber. Despite the intense firing, the character of the clay remains vibrant, revealing a luscious, chocolate-like color in the interior and around the body. While it possesses the impactful presence of a high-fired piece, the form remains gentle and easy to use.
Signed wooden box (shiho-san style)
