Description
This is a superb new tea cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Takariki, a direct apprentice of the master Sozan Kaneshige. This piece is a very rare kiln-altered work, the only one of its kind produced in this recent firing. The silvery gleaming landscape is undoubtedly a *haikaburi* (ash-covered) kiln alteration, shimmering faintly like fish scales. Furthermore, the waist features a *kumadori* shading reminiscent of a kiln-altered sake cup, adding to its luxurious appearance. The interior showcases a persimmon-red clay texture, further enhancing the rarity of this piece.
