Description
This is a new Bizen shochu bottle by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, a former apprentice to the master Sozan Kaneshige. This latest piece was fired in the spring of 2016, and the kiln firing was a great success, resulting in a beautiful "goma" (sesame) glaze effect on the shochu bottle. The soft, bright brown surface, crafted from high-quality clay, is truly stunning, and storing water or shochu in it will mellow and improve its flavor. Furthermore, the understated bottle shape also makes it suitable for use as a flower vase.
