Description
This is a new Bizen sake cup (gold-decorated) by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life’s joy in creating works and firing kilns. This sake cup is from the gold-decorated series he challenged himself with in this firing, featuring a vivid *hidasuki* (fire cord) pattern that adorns the surface with a metallic sheen. The base clay area is matte due to the application of clay slip, which brilliantly highlights the luminous *hidasuki*. This piece exhibits a golden-red finish, with the interior and foot emitting a copper-like reddish-brown glow.
Signed wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping)
