Description

This is a Bizen *mukozuke* dish by Junpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. Rather than prioritizing storage or convenience, this piece was crafted with the intention of achieving a sculptural aesthetic. Its playful form features sharp, clean spatula marks that are so captivating one might even forget to eat. Made using the high-quality clay that is the pride of the Kaneshige family, the fresh, bright brown coloration results in a *tsuchi-aji* (clay texture) of exceptional quality that belies its simple appearance.
