Description
This is a Bizen mukozuke by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, a leading figure of the Kaneshige lineage. This mukozuke was created with a focus on a sculptural style, intentionally eschewing considerations for storage and convenience. The playful form features exceptionally sharp, crisp spatula work that is so captivating one might forget to eat. Crafted from the high-quality clay that is the pride of the Kaneshige lineage, its fresh, bright brown hue represents a level of "tsuchi-aji" (clay character) that appears effortless yet is of remarkably high quality.
