Description

This is a brand new Bizen beer mug, just out of the kiln from master potter Takashi Soga, who challenges the beauty of antiquity by recreating the same environment in which ancient Bizen ware was fired. To replicate the style of the ancient Bizen era, the kiln was constructed without the use of modern firebricks; as such, its internal thermal efficiency defies all modern conventions. Consequently, the resulting ceramic texture transcends contemporary aesthetics, achieving a supreme quality that closely approaches that of ancient Bizen. This beer mug possesses a magnificent texture that fulfills the dreams of ceramics enthusiasts who have long wished to drink cold beer from ancient Bizen or to enjoy that soft, tactile quality in their daily lives. The matte, moist texture makes it look as though it has already weathered centuries, despite having just been fired. It is crafted to be thin and lightweight, allowing you to enjoy this exceptional surface without any compromise in comfort.
