Description

This is the latest work, "Strawberry Fields," fresh from the kiln by Koji Nakahara, who studied under Fumio Kawabata and aims to create works that suit modern life. Leveraging the advantages of living in Osaka, these pieces are crafted as cute objects that can be easily displayed in an entryway or room without overthinking, reflecting a thoroughly modern sensibility. A magnet is inserted into the base of each strawberry, designed to stand on a metal plate; this allows for stable placement while enjoying the retro atmosphere created by the weathered-look strawberry and the metal sheet. At his solo exhibition held at the end of August, he reportedly displayed them by arranging several of these metal plates in a checkerboard pattern. Paper box

Since then, he has actively exhibited his work at the Japan Traditional Kogei Exhibition and various public exhibitions across the country. He is currently an associate member of the Japan Kōgei Association.
