Description
This is a new Bizen hidaski sake vessel by Megumi Sueda, who studied under Anjin Abe and captivates fans with her unique work as a female ceramic artist. Just like her mentor, Anjin Abe, her vibrant hidaski, composed of planes and lines, possesses a beauty that rivals that of ancient Bizen ware. She has transformed the sake cup form inherited from Anjin into something more delicate and graceful, creating a flowing style born from the refined sensibility of a female artist. While the rich application of the hidaski is reminiscent of ancient Bizen itself, she has employed ingenious techniques to incorporate a bold, intersecting mesh design.
