Description

This is a brand-new Bizen sake bottle, freshly taken from the kiln by Masao Akitani, an artist who trained under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality amidst a fresh spirit. This is Mr. Akitani’s first new collection in approximately two years since his last kiln opening. The piece beautifully showcases the dynamic and vibrant landscapes characteristic of the Isezaki school’s anagama kiln firing. The back of the piece is generously adorned with "goma" (ash glaze) like falling rain, with the particles layered like gold dust, creating a stunning effect. In terms of texture, the smooth surface of the goma is incredibly pleasant to the touch, making it a piece you will want to hold forever.
