Description
This is a newly fired Bizen sake cup by Kazuki Nakamura, a potter who carries on the tradition of master sake-ware artisans Rokuro Nakamura and Makoto Nakamura to create deeply expressive works. While following in the footsteps of these masters, this cup displays Kazuki's unique touch, imbuing the piece with a distinct character that sets it apart from the styles of his father and grandfather. With a low center of gravity and a sturdy base reminiscent of Rokuro Nakamura’s work in his final years, it is a generous cup that allows sake to roll gracefully. The piece features the deeply flavorful *kase-goma* (matte sesame ash glaze) characteristic of the Nakamura family, combined with an outstanding scarlet *hi-iro* flash, making it a highly accomplished work at an affordable price.
Signed wooden box to follow at a later date (please allow some time for shipment).
